Aviva extend Cover available as Underwriter

As anyone who has had to claim on their Pet insurance knows, when it comes to insuring our beloved pets there are many limitations to cover and often it is only when the time comes to make a claim that the extent of these limitations are fully appreciated.  Limitations often, but not exhaustively, refer to conditions present when the Policy is taken out, recurrent conditions and the age of the pet.

Aviva in an attempt to offer better cover for Policyholders’ now Underwrite Pet Insurance (as from August 2012).  For existing customers with Aviva and new customers from their first renewal, their cat or dog will continue to be insured for the cost of vet’s fees for treatment of illness and injury for as long as the policy is renewed – no matter what age the animal reaches.  On renewal, existing customers will be advised that they have the option to continue their cover with Aviva as the underwriter.
