Theft in businesses reported to be on the increase.
AXA reports theft as most common anti-business crime.
AXA has reported a continued rise in crime against business. Whilst AXA’s Business Crime Index reports an increase in crime of 3% against businesses due to the riots of last August, theft is reported as the most common crime against businesses. 74% of all anti-business crime can be contributed to this with the average value of stolen goods at almost £4,000.
‘Insurance Daily’ also report that metal thieves are targeting fleets of vehicles, and that the theft of catalytic convertors has over doubled from 1,100 to 2,300 in a five month period.
